Social Play Read Throughs

These read throughs are open to anyone who has any interest in theatre, whether you are a current member of Otley Players or not. They are informal read throughs of plays so that if you are not currently involved in a production but want to stay involved or are new to Otley Players and are unsure of whether you want to dip your toe in, you can do so in a very and friendly setting. All read throughs are at the Black Horse in Otley on the following dates:

AGM: 17th February 2022

Following a tremendous success with ‘Shakespeare’s Lost Christmas Play’ in December, Otley Players has turned its head to plan for 2022. The Players will be performing two of Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads monologues on the 19^th and 20^th March at the Labour rooms and rehearsals are well under way with ticket becoming be released imminently at Brown’s Gallery or by reserving by emailing otleyplayers@gmail.com

Otley players is hosting its AGM on the 17^th February at the Black Horse, Otley at 8pm and we are really keen to welcome anyone interested in performing, writing, costumes, directing, producing or stage managing. No experience is needed, all comers welcome.

New Year’s Honours (of a sort)

Otley Players and the Courthouse made the News Year’s honours list for our work as part of the Open Heritage Day and our short play. Well, at least we were mentioned by them. Looking forward to this year’s theme. Rehearsals Underway for ‘Shakespeare’s Lost Christmas Play’

Rehearsals are well undeway for Otley Player’s next outing on the 11th and 12th December at the Methodist Hall. Tickets will be available to buy at Brown’s Gallery from the 30th October and can be reserved from today via email otleyplayers@gmail.com.

The stage is set!

The first peformance of ‘The Last Memory ‘ by Alan Stockdill wil be underway at the Labour rooms at 7pm tonight, and again at 2pm tomorrow. Weeks of rehearsals, hundreds of lines learned, break a leg Beckie and John!
